Beyond the Bloodwork: Exploring Bioenergetic Testing and the Body Through Frequency

I Ignored This Technology for Years
I have to start this one with a confession.
I first heard about iMAET about four years ago. The technology was practically in my backyard, and I remember thinking, Oh, that looks cool.
And then I moved on.
It kept coming back onto my radar. Patients mentioned it. I heard stories about people using it for allergies and sensitivities. And then, because apparently I needed the universe to hit me over the head with it, I traveled all the way to a biohacking conference in Texas and there it was again.
This time, I paid attention.
I tried it on myself because that is my rule with almost everything I bring into Mindful Medicine. If I am going to recommend something to my patients, I want to experience it first.
What happened next is why iMAET is now sitting in my office.
I Really Just Wanted to Eat Cheese Again
I am not kidding.
I have struggled with dairy for years. Dairy would congest my sinuses, the sinus pressure would turn into headaches, and sometimes those headaches would become migraines.
So I stopped eating it.
But I love cheese. Like, really love cheese. Walking through the cheese section at the grocery store when you know you cannot have any of it is just cruel.
When I started learning more about what iMAET could do, I thought, If this helps me understand what is happening with my dairy sensitivity, it might be worth it for that alone.
But dairy ended up being just the beginning.
As I began using iMAET on myself, I became fascinated by the patterns and information it was identifying. It opened up an entirely different way of thinking about the body, genetics, sensitivities, stressors, and the things that may be happening beneath the surface.
And that is when this stopped being a cool machine I had seen at a conference and started becoming something I wanted available to my patients.
But What Exactly Is iMAET?
iMAET stands for Integrated Medicine with Advanced Energy Technology. It is a bioenergetic technology designed to assess the body's energetic responses to different frequencies and then deliver customized frequencies back to the body.
That probably sounds like a lot.
So think about something you already know.
Your heart has electrical activity. We measure it with an EKG. Your brain has electrical activity. We measure it with an EEG. Your body is not simply a collection of organs, hormones, and chemicals. There is electrical activity happening throughout it.
The idea behind iMAET is to look at health through that bioenergetic lens.
During a session, electrodes are placed at the head, wrists, and ankles. The system runs what is called a bio scan, looking at energetic responses associated with different areas, including foods, allergens, genes, toxins, pathogens, emotional patterns, and more.
And here is the part that made iMAET especially interesting to me: it is not designed to simply hand me more information.
It is designed to respond.
I Don’t Want More Information If We Can’t Do Anything With It
This is something that drives me crazy in medicine.
Someone spends a fortune on testing, gets pages and pages of results, brings them into my office and says, “Okay, now what?”
That is the question.
I love data. I love testing. I love understanding what is happening inside the body. But information without a plan can sometimes create more anxiety than answers.
Genetic testing is a perfect example. Knowing that a gene may not be functioning optimally is interesting, but what are we going to do with that information?
That is one of the reasons iMAET caught my attention.
The system is designed to first identify areas of energetic stress and then deliver frequencies intended to support the body's response. It is this combination of reading and responding that made me want to dig deeper.
Because I am not interested in collecting problems.
I am interested in asking what we can do next.
Your Body Is Not a Junkyard
Conventional medicine has a habit of dividing the body into pieces.
Your thyroid is acting up? Go here.
Your gut is a mess? Go there.
Your joints hurt? Different doctor.
Your hormones are off? Another specialist.
There is absolutely a place for specialists, but we cannot forget that all of these systems belong to the same human being.
Your gut communicates with your brain. Your hormones interact with your immune system. Your stress affects your sleep. Your sleep affects your metabolism. Your environment influences your body. Your experiences matter too.
Everything is connected.
Your body is not a junkyard where we pull out one broken part, replace it, and send you on your way.
That interconnectedness is one of the things I find so fascinating about bioenergetics. Instead of asking only, Which part is broken? we get to ask a much bigger question:
What is the body trying to tell us?
Sometimes Symptoms Are the Message
Your body is constantly working toward balance.
So when symptoms show up, I do not only want to know how to make them disappear. I want to know why they showed up in the first place.
What is underneath the fatigue?
Why is the inflammation there?
Why does this food suddenly bother you?
Why is your body struggling with something it used to handle beautifully?
Sometimes medicine becomes so focused on quieting the alarm that we forget to ask why the alarm started ringing.
That does not mean we throw away medications, labs, hormone therapy, or conventional medicine. iMAET is not a replacement for all of those things, and I do not use it that way.
It is another tool.
But it is a tool that has challenged me to look at the body from another angle, and after using it on myself and incorporating it into Mindful Medicine, I am genuinely excited about what I am learning.
And trust me, my dairy experiment is only one part of the story.
Want to Go Deeper?
In this week's episode of the Mindful Healing podcast, I am taking you inside my experience with iMAET, including why I ignored it for years, what finally convinced me to try it, what happened when I started using it on myself, and why it is changing the way I think about what may be happening beneath the surface of our health.
We also get into genetics, allergies and sensitivities, bioenergetics, emotional stress, pathogens, detoxification, and some of the things that genuinely surprised me when I started running my own scans.
If you have ever felt like your body is trying to tell you something but you cannot quite figure out what it is, you are going to want to hear this conversation.

Wishing you love, light, and continued healing.
